As the New Year is a time for self-reflection and fresh starts, we are extremely excited about 2020. Firstly, we’ve been busy registering our Naturally European products with The Vegan Society. So, if you are on a healthy and environmentally conscious path, please read on.
Since 2014, Veganuary has inspired over 500k people to try a vegan lifestyle in the first month of the year. With everything that’s going on in the world, it’s not surprising this way of life has increased in popularity. The main reasons for joining, according to the Veganuary website are:
- Health benefits (46%)
- Animal welfare (34%)
- Environmental (12%)
- Other (8%)
The Vegan lifestyle aims to avoid any forms of exploitation and cruelty to animals. You may have thought Veganism purely involved a plant-based diet? However, it also includes refraining from using any products which may include animal by-products. This includes everything from clothing (leather shoes) to skincare, which has involved animal testing (often when sold in China).
*Please note, we do not sell our products in China, due to the existing animal testing legislation.
The Vegan Society
The founders of The Vegan Society defined the word in 1944, and their trademark demonstrates a global standard for products free from animal ingredients and testing. We get daily enquiries about whether our products are suitable for plant-based living. Therefore, we hope by displaying the trademark on our products, it will make life easy for those living a plant-based lifestyle or buying gifts for others.
Explore all of our vegan body care to discover our bestselling Naturally European products registered by The Vegan Society. You’ll find luxury soap bars, hand cream, hand wash, shower gel, body lotion, bath salts, fragranced sachets, hand caddies, travel collections, and gift sets.
*Please note, there are a few items within the Naturally European collection that are not completely plant-based. These include our lip balms (as they contain Beeswax) and many of our milk fragranced products.
We have always been cruelty-free and the majority of our products are vegan, but the addition of the trademark will make it obvious for consumers to identify our vegan-friendly offering.Sakina Buoy, Chairman
